PARTS of a secret police dossier blaming the mafia for executing the most senior police officer killed in Australia have emerged in court. The confidential document identifies the Sergi clan as the group probably responsible for murdering Australian Federal Police assistant commissioner Colin Winchester in 1989. Six Sergis based in Griffith, New South Wales, were named by a royal commissioner in 1979 as being members of the Calabrian mafia.
